The name ‘Songkhram River’ refers to indigo (Khram), a natural dye used by people who have been living at the foot of the Phu Phan mountain for centuries. Ban Kut Haet is one of the villages best known for these GI indigo dye cotton products.

10:00 | The basics of indigo dye: indigo picking / fermenting / making an indigo vat / making ash solution / dyeing. |
12:00 | Enjoy local dishes for lunch that are cooked with locally produced ingredients. |
13:00 | Explore the community / get to know the Ka Loengs’ way of life. |
16:00 | Visit the garden to pick ingredients for dinner. |
18:00 | Return to the village home and get some rest. |

06:30 | Join an almsgiving ceremony. |
07:30 | Have breakfast. |
09:00 | Visit the In-Paeng Center, the mao berry organic juice factory (in season August to September) / taste the juice and other processed herbs / visit the indigenous plants nursery and the natural beehives. |

13:00 | Observe an indigo dyeing demonstration / gain some hands-on experience / watch a cotton weaving demonstration, bowing / spinning |
